Before adding an organization to your plug-in, it's important to understand when this step is actually necessary.
Do You Need to Add the Organization?
Organization-Based Queries
If your plug-in is built using specific organizations (an organization-based query), then you will need to add organizations to your Event Rules in order for their events to appear on your calendar.
Location-Based Queries
If your plug-in is built using a location, community, or radius-based query, you generally do not need to add organizations individually.
Events from organizations within your defined community or radius will automatically appear on your calendar if they match your query criteria.
The main exception is when an organization falls outside of the location or radius you've configured. In that case, you may choose to add the organization directly to your Event Rules so its events are included.
How to Add a Specific Organization
- Log in to your Yodel account and navigate to Plug-In Manager.
- Locate the plug-in you want to update and click Edit.
- In Step 1: Event Rules, open the dropdown.
-
Review your existing Event Rules.
- Click Add Group, then inside that group select Add Rule.
-
Make sure the group’s condition is set to OR.
- If you already have a group that uses Equals rules, you can simply add the new rules there instead of creating a new group.
- ⚠️ Do not mix Equals and Not Equals rules within the same group.
-
-
From the Rule dropdown, choose Organization → Equals.
- Start typing the organization’s name. Matching options will appear in a dropdown.
- Select the correct organization from the list.
- Click Save (top right corner) to apply your changes.
Need Additional Help?
If the organization has been added correctly but events still are not appearing, the issue may be related to event imports, event source connections, Facebook permissions, event status, or other configuration settings.
