Our platform uses advanced scraping technology to automatically gather events from a variety of sources and keep your calendar up to date. Here’s a breakdown of how it works:
1. Sources We Connect To
We aggregate events from multiple popular platforms, including:
Facebook
TicketMaster
Eventbrite
Individual organization web calendars (by request)
Facebook, TicketMaster, and Eventbrite are continuously monitored, so new events are pulled in as soon as they are posted. For individual web calendars, we can set up a connection upon request.
2. How Often We Check for Updates
Our scrapers run every 24 hours to ensure your calendar stays accurate. During each run, the system looks for:
New events
Cancelled events
Changes to event details (such as time, date, or location)
All updates are automatically reflected on your calendar, so you always have the most current information without having to manually check each source.
3. Requesting Additional Connections
While our system captures the majority of events in your area, you can submit requests for scraper connections to specific organizations you want included on your calendar.
⚠️ Important: Submitting a request does not guarantee that events can be scraped. Some common reasons a connection may not be possible include:
The organization’s Facebook page has privacy settings that block scraping.
Their website format does not allow scraping.
Even in cases where scraping isn’t possible, our team can often suggest alternative ways to get the event data onto your calendar.
